Export Pointclouds into Regions by using Recap
A guide to making your gigantic point-cloud files suitable for collaboration. Without losing any levels of detail, and without splitting up your point-cloud project-file.
Many scanning softwares automatically creates regions out of each scan location.

Step By Step
1. Create region
Isolate natural parts of your point cloud.
1. Use a selection box to define an Area.
2. Select everything within the box
3. Create a new Region
Example: Building region.
2. More Regions
Create as many Regions as needed, or as many that makes logical sense for the project.
Example: Barracks, car-park, lab-area, and lobby area..
3. Check Regions
Switch between the regions you have created to make sure you got everything covered.
4. Auto Export
Use the export button from the Regions list to automatically export each region to a separate file.
5. Check Folder
You will get one E57 file per region.
This is what you want to use with Vrex.
6. Create Project
Great your Vrex project.
7.Upload
Upload your files to Vrex, now they are within the limits.
This will also in turn result in more flexible visibility settings within the Vrex Viewer application for further improving performace.
