Revit Colors in Vrex
Ensure your Revit models display correctly in Vrex by understanding how material settings affect color representation. Applying Revit Materials
To change standard colors in Revit by applying materials:
1. Go to the “Modify tab” at the top panel, and choose “Paint”
2. In the “Material Browser” select the material you want ot use.
3. Click on objects to apply the material.
Material Appearance
A material can have textures applied to it. This gives a color in Revit which will not show up in Vrex.
Go to “Manage” in the top panel, and choose “Materials” to check this.
Vrex Color
In Vrex you will see the color found under “Graphics” and “Shading Color”.
Color Overrides in Revit
Note that Revit has many ways to override colors.
For example will “Forground color” override the “Shading Color” when set to “Solid Fill”.
