Create an Issue in Vrex

Use the issue tool in Vrex to capture and report problems or questions directly in the model. You can use this in screen mode or VR mode.

1. Identify a Point of Interest

  • In this case, we’ve found a space with tight width clearance that we want to be resolved.
  • To communicate the issue, the measuring tool shows the small dimension.

2. Set the View

  • Move your view to frame the issue clearly.
  • You can use tools or change layers to make the problem easier to see.
  • Click on the flag button on the right side menu.
  • Click on the model to capture an image of your current view.

Tip: You can also click an object to connect it to the issue. This adds useful data about the object.

3. Describe the View

  • Now you title and describe the issue or point of discussion.

4. Fill in the Details

  1. Status – Choose if the issue is Open or Closed.
  2. Type – Select the type: Info, Warning, or Error.

5. Save the Issue

  • Review your information.
  • Click Save to finish.

Your issue is now stored in the Issue Manager.

6. Edit the Issue

  • You can adjust or add information to the issue in the issue manager.

6. Add Comment to the Issue

  • Add a viewpoint in the issue manager
  • Click on Comment. Here are your existing comments for this issue.
  • Click on Add to start a new comment.
  • Take a still image with the camera tool (this isn’t necessary to add a comment).
  • Write information on why the view adds context to the issue.
  • Click Add to add the comment to the Issue.

What Happens Next

  • Your issue includes a screenshot, camera view, and visibility settings.
  • Others can click on the issue and go directly to the same view.
  • If your project is connected to an external system, the issue can be shared there automatically.

Tips

  • Use the drawing tool, laser pointer, or measuring tool to highlight the problem before creating the issue.
  • You can add extra views or image comments to show more details.
  • Issues are saved in the project.
