Session Etiquette

Communication

  • Announce yourself - “I’m looking at the east wall”
  • Use the laser - point at what you’re discussing
  • Ask to draw - before marking up shared views
  • Follow the host during guided portions
  • Ask before exploring independently

Common Session Activities

Guided Walkthrough

The host leads everyone through key areas. Follow along and ask questions at designated stops.

Free Exploration

Participants spread out to investigate specific areas. Regroup when the host calls.

Issue Review

Mark up problems as you find them:

  1. Navigate to the issue
  2. Use drawing tools to highlight
  3. Take a screenshot
  4. Add a note describing the problem

Decision Points

When the team needs to decide something:

  • Everyone gathers at the relevant location
  • The host presents options
  • Discussion happens in context
  • Decisions get documented

After the Session

  • Screenshots are saved to your Vrex account
  • Issues sync to your project management tool (if integrated)
  • Session recordings may be available (ask the host)
  • Follow-up tasks should be assigned before everyone leaves

Tips for Success

  1. Arrive early - test your setup 5 minutes before
  2. Stay engaged - it’s obvious when someone zones out in VR
  3. Be specific - “the red pipe on floor 3” beats “that thing”
  4. Take notes - or designate a note-taker
  5. Ask questions - there are no dumb questions in a design review
